Patient Advocacy

For many people, coping with a serious illness can feel overwhelming and isolating.

You do not have to go through it alone.

We are here to advocate for you.

Together we can explore your disease process, your treatment options, and your prognosis.

With more transparency you can make well-informed decisions about your care.

Patient-Directed
End-of-Life Options

Colorado's End of Life Options Act allows qualifying individuals with a terminal illness to request a prescription that they can self-ingest to end their life on their own terms. This practice is known as "medical aid in dying" or "MAID." Our physician-doula supports individuals who are considering this end of life option.

Individuals may decide to hasten their death by deliberately and voluntarily choosing to stop eating and drinking. This lesser-known option is has been called one of the oldest forms of individual-directed end of life care. While a person can pursue VSED independently, we strongly encourage individuals to establish a devoted care team to support them through the process.

Advance Care Planning

Your voice matters:

be sure it is heard.

Documenting your wishes is the most reliable way to ensure that your voice is heard and your values are honored.

By thoughtfully and thoroughly completing your advance care plans you can feel confident that your loved ones and your medical team will best know how to respect and support you.
